CJ Koome Accused of Laxity Days after Taking Office

New Chief Justice Martha Koome has been Accused of laxity in her office days after she was sworn in.

According to Transzoia County NGO Chairperson Mr. Keffa Were, CJ Martha Koome didn't outstand in the interview when the Judicial Service Commission of Kenya was looking for a candidate to fill the gap that was left by retired chief justice David Kenani Maraga.

Were Says Martha wasn't the best choice but she was chosen to balance the gender inequality in the JSC.

This comes at a time CJ Martha Koome also stated on Thursday 3rd that she will ensure Justice is delivered for minors within one year. Her vision is to ensure that justice is delivered to all within a short period.

However, on Wednesday 2nd, the US Embassy declared to support CJ Martha Koome as the Judiciary faces threats.   "The US proudly stands with Chief Justice Martha Koome and other development partners as she becomes Kenya's 15th CJ."
