On Tuesday morning, a bus carrying 29 passengers and a dead body was engaged in a road accident on the Narok-Mai Mahiu road.

According to the police report, the driver lost control of the vehicle, which then overturned on the right side of the road.

Seven passengers were hurt in the 4 a.m. incident at the Pinyiny blackspot, the youngest being a three-year-old toddler.

The mourners had traveled from Mombasa to Homa Bay for a burial, carrying a coffin with a deceased person on board.

After the collision, the bus driver was nowhere to be found, and the victims were taken to Narok County Referral Hospital for treatment.

The incident comes exactly a month after another hearse was engaged in an accident on the Narok-Mai Mahiu road

On the night of May, 21, eight mourners travelling in a van died in an accident on the Mai Mahiu-Narok Highway.

The van collided head-on with a vehicle near Mafuta Taa center, as they were returning to Naivasha from Kisii County.

The eight people were believed to be flower farm workers who were on their way back from a burial when the accident happened at 2 a.m.
