Body of Aspiring MCA Recovered From Kijabe Forest

Joseph Njau Ng'endo, an aspiring Njiru MCA in Kasarani, Nairobi, has been identified as the fifth body discovered at Ngubi Forest in Kiambu County.

Body of Aspiring MCA Recovered From Kijabe Forest

The aspiring MCA went missing on June 17, and his body was found yesterday near Lari.

“The body was brought by a police vehicle on Sunday and booked as unidentified. It has since been positively identified by the family who had reported him missing two days before,” said mortuary superintendent Patrick Kibuga

Police on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, recovered Njau’s body from Ngubi Forest in Lari as investigations intensify into the previous cases of bodies discarded in the area.

Kibuga claimed that the MCA candidate's torso was covered in strangling scars. His fingerprints enabled the police to identify him.

Njau is alleged to have been on the police's radar before going missing due to claims of narcotics trafficking. The police also said that he was associated with a known heroin distribution network in Nairobi and assumed that he bought the pills from a Nigerian living in Uganda.

This occurs a few days after the bodies of four other men who were discovered in Kiserian, Kajiado County, and Lari, Kiambu.

The victims were identified as Frank Obegi, Fredrick Obare Mokaya, Pernus Wanjohi, and Moses Amenya Nyachae.

The victims died from stab wounds, and two bodies had postmortems done that revealed they had bled to death after being stabbed in the neck. They also bore signs of strangulation.

Police said they had been accused of being behind a cryptocurrency fraud mostly targeting victims outside the country. They are thought to have disappeared after robbing their most recent victim of Sh1 million in bitcoin.
