The panel in charge of the Azimio running Mate selection has rescheduled the parading date of the shortlisted candidates.

The reporting of the three shortlisted candidates for the Azimio running mate position was today, May 11, 2022, pushed to Thursday.

The committee reported that the decision was based on the absence of Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga who is in Malindi.

According to the committee chairperson Noah Wekesa, Thursday is the preferred date as the former Prime Minister will be available to receive the report.

The selection team will submit the top three candidates to Azimio presidential candidates Raila and Uhuru Kenyatta who were to consider three for the final decision.

 The already interviewed members are; Narc Kenya Chief Martha Karua, Wiper-Party Executive Kalonzo Musyoka, Governors Charity Ngilu (Kitui), Hassan Joho (Mombasa), and Lee Kinyajui (Nakuru), Wycliffe Oparanya (Kakamega).

                                                                 

Others are running are Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth, Muranga County Women's Representative Sabina Chege, Former Kenya Ambassador to Australia Stephen Tals, and Agricultural CS Peter Munya.
