100 Pakistanis stranded in Nairobi Estate rescued by Kenyans

The 100 Pakistan residents were cheated into traveling into the estate where they were led there would be cheaper Airbnbs instead of spending money for expensive hotels in the city where they had been for a month. Some residents in the estate have confirmed that they have been hosting the foreigners. Some of the foreigners would only request where they would rest as a city hotel was contracted to offer them meals.

Some made fun, joking that they should seize the opportunity to make some money. They argued that they were willing to host the Pakistanis at Ksh10,000 per person per night.

However, the debate was centered around how the residents perceived the intrusion and whether the health and security of residents were at risk, and whether the embattled foreigners were able to pay up. One local complained that having such a high number of foreigners under quarantine in a residential area was a major health concern.
