US President Biden Officially Calls President Kenyatta For the First Time in Office
Although President Kenyatta had in the recent past called Biden to congratulate him over his victory as the President-elect, Thursday's call was the first since Biden's inauguration.

The United States of America (USA) President Joe Biden on Thursday evening gave President Kenyatta his first official call since he (Biden) ascended to power.
Through the call, President Biden praised Kenya over its role in the Horn of Africa. He expressed his gratitude over how Kenya was committed to climatic change issues, countering terrorism, boosting the economy, among others.
Close sources also stated that the two leaders touched on matters to do with worsening humanitarian, as well as human rights crises witnessed in parts like Tigray in Ethiopia.
Also addressed was the need to immediately find a lasting solution to prevent further loss of lives, and also enhancing unlimited access to humanitarian matters.
