The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has appreciated all teachers for their great efforts during examination period.                                                                                                 "I thank all the teachers who took part in supervising and invigilating examinations. We appreciate you," the TSC CEO said.

Nancy Macharia, the TSC CEO also commended Principal Magdalene Kimani of Sosian High School, whose story was recently shared on media. Her story was so touching; having to walk 20 kilometres daily to deliver exam papers to candidates in her centre, revealed her great efforts. On the contrary, Education officials from Narok  had vowed to take disciplinary action against her. A local publication also stated that she had been summoned to record a statement over the report. The TSC CEO has opposed their decision and has said that she would not be punished.

"We all saw the story of the teacher in Narok (referring to Kimani) and I can assure you that we will not be punishing any teacher who goes beyond the call of duty to ensure the exams are credible,"  Nancy Macharia stated.

The TSC CEO further stated that the teachers who had done an exemplary job would be rewarded after the exercise is conducted.

"We are just waiting for a report from KNEC on the conduct of the exams so that we can identify the deserving teachers," she stated.                                                                       Nancy Macharia also stated that atleast 92,246 teachers had taken the Covid-19 vaccine and the President had extended the order for all teachers to take the jab irrespective of their age.
