St. Teresa`s Boys Kabula Shut Down Indefinitely Following Tipp Off Plans to Torch the School
Following the increased number of school unrest in the country where students have been allegedly burning down their dormitories and destroying other school properties, St Teresa`s Boys kabula in Bungoma county has been shut down indefinitely after students had planned to torch down their dormitories.

According to the school's administration in a letter dated 9th November they had to abruptly release the students to go home due to tension that was building in the school.
The administration also added that it was tipped off by good students about the presence of petrol in the school compound and further plans to raze down the school stores and dormitory so that the students could go home for the 5-day midterm break.
This incident comes barely hours after St. Mary's Miambani Mixed Secondary School in Kitui county was also closed down on Tuesday 9th November after students burnt down one of their dormitories.
Confirming the incident Chief Muthoka Kilonzo stated that the dormitory used to accommodate 76 students.
However, through joint efforts from parents and school neighbors, the fire was put off with only a handful of items salvaged from the fire.
No injuries were reported as investigations into the cause of the fire had begun.
Education cabinet secretary George Magoha gave a warning all students who will be found guilty of taking part in school arson, will not be re-admitted to any public institutions.
“Any student linked to arson in school will not be accepted in any other public institution”.
He also added that the damages that were made by the students during the strike will not be done by the government but the parents.
“All the schools that have been burned, their parents shall build them, full stop. The government won’t pay a penny, your parents will so if you want to burn, go burn your father`s building".
