Singer Bahati to Run For Mathare Parliamentary Seat

Bahati will be vying for the Mathare Parliamentary seat on an Azimio la Umoja ticket if his update on social media is anything to go by.

“We talked, we agreed, it’s sealed! Raila Amollo Odinga na mtoto wa Mathare,” Bahati wrote on Instagram.

In late December, musician Willy Paul had also claimed he would be vying for the Mathare seat, currently held by MP Anthony Oluoch.

Bahati will be up against among others, James Ongero Madafu who is seeking the seat on an ANC ticket as well as former administration officer Julia Kamwara.

Bahati now joins local celebrities, among them Rapper and singer Jackson Ngechu Makini, better known by his stage name CMB Prezzo, who is eyeing the Kasarani parliamentary seat.

Others include Mwanaisha Chidzuga, and DNG who are vying for the Matuga Parliamentary seat and the Kenyatta Golf Course Member Of County Assembly seat respectively.

He also joins former radio presenter Felix Odiwuor, alias Jalang'o who is vying for the Langata Parliamentary seat hoping to unseat the current MP Nickson Korir, and comedian Mc Jesse who is vying for the Imenti South parliamentary seat.

Others vying for political seats include Gospel artiste Smith Mwatia, environmentalist Anita Soina, and Dickson Ngibuini, well-known as DNG, among many more.
