Ruto`s Budget Allocation Slashed

Deputy President William Ruto`s budget allocation has been slashed in the draft budget policy statement of 2021 which is expected to be the priority in the upcoming National Assembly resumption on Tuesday February 9.

The Budget Policy Statement shows that the office of the Deputy President has been allocated a Ksh1,402,500,000 which is a Ksh35,000,000 decrease from the previous year.Last year`s allocation was Ksh1,437,800,000.

President Kenyatta`s office allocation was also trimmed by Ksh1,701,500,000 from 36.5 billion to 34.8 billion.The NMS is set to receive Ksh27.2 billion.

Being the year preceding the general elections the president has instructed cabinet secretaries to traverse the country to inspect the progress of various projects as he has few months left to finalise on his projects.
