Former Taita Taveta woman representative Joyce Lay declared that she won’t return to politics due to her harsh experience in the political world that broke her to appoint of no return. The Power woman revealed to her fans on her Instagram page after her supporters kept nagging her on when she was going to make a comeback.

The powerful woman answered them in a long Instagram page. It read;

‘’For those who are asking, I am at a different stage of my life separate from politics. This is where I am happy most. So I want to hang around for a while and just enjoy the tranquillity. It is beautiful up here. It looks like an ocean of clouds and I am all alone. Yet so peaceful. I found my purpose and I have just started walking towards it. I am not looking back.

The now gospel artiste stated that she will not be vying for any seat in Taita Taveta County in the next year's general elections. "Even the Deputy Governor positions that were offered to me. I will not take any. It's too early for me to go back now. It was too much on me. I lost everything. I had so much pain. I was shattered. Broken, wounded, broke the whole time, and the people I trusted turned out against me,'' she added.

Joyce further revealed what devastated her the most was when the people she trusted turned against her.

“To see your friend turning evil before your eyes. It’s too early for me to go back now. It was too much for me. I lost everything. I had so much pain. I was shattered, broken, wounded and broke the whole time.”

Joyce lay is currently focusing on the gospel industry as to where she finds her peace.

“I found my purpose and I have just started walking towards it. I’m not looking back. It’s going to be glorious. I welcome you to start this journey #jewelworld with me. I have forgiven and I’m now healed,” she said.
