The officers in collaboration searched the property following intelligence tips and were successful in recovering the illegal substances.

Eighty pieces of heroin worth Ksh 80,000, thirty rolls of bhang, and a hundred litres of Chang'aa were among the substances recovered by the officers.

Muchangi Kioi, Kiambu County Police Commander, stated the suspected illegal drug sellers had already sold some jerricans before the raid occurred.

Kioi decried the fact that drug lords were selling illegal narcotics to university students, a societal sin he blamed for contributing to high absenteeism at the institution.

The county police commander issued a severe warning to bhang and other illegal drug dealers, warning that the government would not spare anyone caught selling or assisting in the sale of narcotics that not only convert consumers into zombies but also rob the country of its productivity.

He expressed sorrow that the sale of illegal substances has increased in Kiambu, noting that police are chasing the masterminds behind the sales to protect both learners and other Kenyans.

At the same time, the police chief claimed that the vendors have been obtaining the illegal narcotics from Silale, and that the transporters have been avoiding police roadblocks in order to avoid being detained.

Two women and a guy were arrested after the discovery and are being held at the Juja police station for questioning before being prosecuted in court.
