Official: Liverpool Completes Signing RB Leipzig Defender Ibrahima Konate
Liverpool has reached an agreement to the signing of RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate.

The 22-year-old defender has agreed to a long-term contract with Liverpool starting July 1 subject to the international break and a successful work permit application after finalizing on terms and passing the medical test.
According to Konate, he said, “ I’m really happy to join such a massive club like Liverpool.
Konate also thanked his teams, “I would like to thank you to everyone at RB Leipzig and all the people I worked with there, the coaches, teammates, the staff and especially the fans.”
Konate will be moving to Anfield after spending four seasons in the Bundesliga with Leipzig where he made 94 appearances and managed to score four goals.
Konate is currently with France’s U21 squad for the UEFA European Championships.
The center-back will help to strengthen Liverpool’s defence after suffering last season as a result of Virgil’s injury at the start of the season.
