More Troubles could be witnessed in the Azimio La Umoja Coalition party as more leaders ditched it to join President-elect William Ruto`s Kenya kwanza party.

Taking to his Twitter Account Ruto thanked the leaders for joining his party to work towards building one Nation.

"Kenya Kwanza is delighted to welcome the Movement for Democracy and Growth to the alliance. We are committed to partnerships that help us build one Nation for the prosperity of all Kenyans"

Among the leaders who joined Kenya, kwanza were leader David Ochieng (MP Ugenya), Secretary General Mary Makokha, Hon Jack Ranguma, Hon Fred Outa, Hon Olago Oluoch, and Eliud Owalo. 

"Present were party leader David Ochieng (MP Ugenya), Secretary General Mary Makokha, Hon Jack Ranguma, Hon Fred Outa, Hon Olago Oluoch and Eliud Owalo. Governors @SakajaJohnson(Nairobi) and Kimani Wamatangi (Kiambu) also attended the meeting, Karen, Nairobi County". Ruto added.

The leaders ditching Raila Odinga`s Party for Ruto`s party comes at a time the President-Elect has been wooing members from Azimio in order to increase his support in the parliament, where Azimio holds the majority, on a charm offensive in recent weeks.

However, the Azimio have sharply criticized his political decisions, accusing him of attempting to establish a one-party state.

"Ruto is assiduously wooing some of the leaders elected as Independents and on the Azimio coalition to defect to his side. This is the practice that was used in the KANU era to defeat the independence of the legislature and retard the growth of multiparty democracy," Raila Odinga Presidential Campaign Secretariat spokesperson, Makau Mutua, stated then.
