From the results recorded, Azimio la Umoja leader, Raila Odinga managed to get 311 votes, and the Kenya Kwanza leader, William Ruto managed to get 911 votes.

Karua welcomed the results in a brief statement, noting that it was the people's decision. She did, however, point out that the outcome did not reflect her political position.

Karua dismissed the mockery of a Kenyan voter, who also chastised her for changing her stance and supporting the proposers of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
The leader of the Narc Kenya party also congratulated Azimio candidate Naisula Lesuuda on her provisional victory in the Samburu West parliamentary ticket.
