Inter Milan: Serie A champions names Simon Inzaghi as their new head coach.

The 45-year old coached Lazio for five years from 3, April, 2016 to 27, May 2021. Inzaghi led the club to win Supercoppa Italiana(2017&2019) and Coppa Italia in 2018/19 season before helping the team to reach the group stages of Champions League last season for the first time since 2007/08 season. Lazio finished in position six on the log last season.

The former Italian striker helped Lazio to qualify for the European competition in each of his five full seasons in charge, including taking it to the Champions League last 16 in the 2020/21 season.

Inzaghi was handed a boost before even being confirmed as Inter’s new boss when striker Romelu Lukaku revealed he is planning to stay at the club for next season.

However, expectations at the San Siro are likely to be markedly different largely because of the work of his predecessor.

He joins the Italian champions ending a 22-year association with Lazio.
