Taking to her official Twitter account, Wanga stated that she was very disappointed and hurt on a personal level after what was done to the Azimio la Umoja party leader, Raila Odinga.

"I am aware that many of you are currently hurting and struggling with disappointment and lack of clarity over what happened yesterday. As a strong supporter of Baba, I share your disappointment. I am hurt at a very personal level," part of the statement read.

The governor-elect went ahead to support the four IEBC commissioners who were also not in support of the results that were released shortly after they had addressed the media at Serena Hotel, Nairobi.

The four, led by commissioner Juliana Cherera, stated that they could not take ownership of the results due to the opaque manner in which they were handled.

"We have done the 2022 general election in the most efficient manner. We have ensured that all the challenges have been contained," commissioner Juliana Cherera stated.

"We have made sure that we have improved the standards and we say as a fact, as commissioners we have done a good job. But some things need to be put out there as you can see the four of us are here and not at Bomas where the results are going to be announced because of the opaque nature of how this phase has been handled. We, therefore, cannot take ownership of this result that is going to be announced," Cherera stated.

Gladys Wanga stated that the matter was not yet closed and that they were doing everything possible to complete the process and verify their alleged winner.

"So this matter is not over. The last word about it has not been spoken. The legal team has assembled and will be doing everything possible to ensure the right winner is declared," Gladys stated.

She also urged Raila's supporters to rally behind him and remember him in their prayers.
