Burindi's President Evariste Sacks All Married Government Staffs with Sidechicks
As part of a long-running government push to'moralise society,' Burundian President General Evariste Ndayishimiye terminated government officials who have illicit partnerships outside of marriage on Thursday 7th October.

Every married government official who has concubines, or as they are more widely called, side chicks, faces the sack, according to the decree.
According to Burundi's Minister of Internal Security, the decree is in honor of late Burundian President Pierre Nkurunziza, who signed a bill in 2017 mandating couples to marry by December 2017 or face legal consequences.
According to him, the country had a population explosion as a result of men dating and impregnating multiple girls at the same time.
