Boda-boda riders have brought to bay a colleague who was seen punching a police officer on the head along Bunyala road.

In a video that was seen circulating on social media, the rider was seen punching the police officer who was clearing an accident scene along Bunyala Road. 

The accident involved a bodaboda rider and a private owneed vehicle. 

The suspect, who is the boda-boda rider was arrested after his fellow riders pursued him, and presented him to the police.

The suspect, who was in blue jeans trousers and a red jumper was seen in the video warning the police officer about on-site reconciliations.  

"Hakuna kusameheana hapa ( there is nothing like forgiveness)," the guy is heard saying. 

After the utterences, the guy punches the police officer on the head.

In shock the  police officer responds "Ala Unanipiga," ( Have you just beaten me up!) 

After his colleagues pursued him and arrested him,  the man is seen escorted into a police van by several police officers. He is believed to have been taken to Central police station awaiting arraignment in court.  

The incidence comes several days after the National Police service announced measures to reform  the boda-boda sector. some of the measures incluide  new registration of all boda-boda operators among other measures. 

The reforms were announced after several cases of indiscipline being reported in the sector with the worst of all the Incidence that was witnessed along Forest Road, involving a gang of guys who are believed to be from the boda-boda sector assaulting a woman motorist.
