Willis Raburu Loses 30 Kgs After Undergoing Bariatric Weight Loss

Taking to his Instagram feed, Raburu displayed his before and after body transformation after undergoing the weight loss surgery, and the significant differences are evident.

 Raburu disclosed that he has reduced 30 kg since beginning his weight reduction journey and still wants to lose more.

"The greatest investment you can ever make is on you! When I decided to do the Bariatric Surgery I was so scared, but I did it. Will share story here soon. 30kgs down so far. The journey continues." Raburu posted.

In a previous interview, Raburu claimed that the bariatric surgery cost him between Ksh. 600K and Ksh. 900K and he observed a difference within the first month.

"A surgery costs approximately Ksh.600-900k but it’s cheaper in Kenya compared to other countries like Dubai, Turkey, and Thailand,” he said.

The host of the Citizen TV’s entertainment program 10 OVER 10 decided to lose weight since his high blood pressure and cholesterol put his health at risk.

He added that he has never had any regrets about having the operation.

“I went to surgery at around May and I don’t regret it one bit. It took 3 days to get out of hospital and a little bit longer to heal,” he said.

Bariatric surgery may be performed when diet and exercise are ineffective or a patient has substantial health problems due to being obese.

Consequently, surgical treatment restricts one's diet or lessens the body's capacity to absorb nutrients.
