The Goldilocks hypothesis claimed that since divorce rates are lowest in the first five years of marriage, getting married is best done between the ages of 28 and 32. This is due to the fact that neither partner is too old nor too young to make lifestyle adjustments or to know the difference between genuine compatibility and puppy love.
At this age, the person has attained a degree of maturity that greatly increases their chances of having a successful marriage. Most couples who were married in their early 20s before they had experience are in danger of divorcing.
