VIDEO: Gatundu South MP Insults Kiambu Residents in a Viral Video

In a video that has gone viral, Gatundu South Member of Parliament, Moses Kuria, who is also running for Kiambu Governor on the Chama Cha Kazi Party ticket, was caught on camera showing his middle finger to an enraged crowd.

What is the meaning of the 'middle finger'?

A middle finger is a rude gesture made by holding the hand up with the palm facing the body and the middle finger pointing up.

It is also a way to end a conversation.

Moses Kuria later revealed through his Facebook account that he will be committed to running as an independent candidate despite being told to join the United Democratic Alliance party.

"If me vying on a Chama Cha Kazi ticket will cost me the seat despite standing with William Ruto at a very huge personal sacrifice and expense, so be it," read part of the statement.

The viral video has elicited lots of reactions from Kenyans on Twitter (KOT). Here are some screen grabs that I came across.
