Since the 5 High Court judges in Kenya block the government's backup plan to make fundamental changes in the constitution, it has proved to be the most scratching ruling In president Uhuru Kenyatta's time in the presidency- seconded by the 2017 nullification of the election.
The judges finally say that the constitution Amendment of building bridges initiative (BBI) to be irregular, illegal and unconstitutional. Now the BBI story is behind us but, honestly speaking; for how long has it been in Kenya? Where were this five judges during all timese times? Kenyans have been struggling to understand the true meaning of the BBI and the owners of the BBI.
It indeed had taken most of the Kenyans attention for the past year. Many Kenyans were shifted to concentrating on the BBI because of the opposition, confusion and dilemma were out of question across the Kenyan population. I do have a feeling, this is just but one way of shifting citizens' attention. The modern way of national integration as I can put it. Did Kenyans have the same thought from the overture of the BBI?
Welcome to Kenya where there's democracy but decisions are made by the ones at the top in the rank. It was true that the majority of Kenyans had been convinced that the BBI is right for us before it was put off due to the pressure. But is that the right way for us?
