Ukraine's President Vows to stay in the Capital as Russian Invaders approach

Ukraine`s president Zelenskiy on Thursday 24th vowed to stay within the capital Kyiv with his family members even as Russian Invaders approached the city.

In a late-night speech on Thursday, Zelenskiy vowed to stay in Kyiv as his troops battled Russian invaders who were advancing toward the capital in the biggest attack on a European state since World War Two.

President Zelenskyy also appealed for an ‘anti-war coalition’ and is now seeking defense assistance from Eastern European members of NATO.
However, his appeal comes at a time Russia’s forces have entered the Obolon district in Kyiv, where the Ukrainian military is currently fighting them.
Ukraine’s Defense Ministry has asked its residents not to leave their houses and prepare Molotov cocktails. The district is approximately 10 km from central Kyiv.
