KeNHA attributed the delays to work on improving road drainage. Therefore, motorists were urged to drive carefully across the Uhuru Highway/Mombasa road segment between the University Way Roundabout and the Nyayo Stadium Roundabout.

They were also urged to follow temporary traffic detours and road signage.

They should make appropriate plans in light of the Authority's disclosure that the work would start on Friday, November 25, and continue through Monday, November 28, between 9 pm and 6 am.

The government said that the roads would be closed on Thursday, November 24, to make room for the upcoming Technology Service Providers Association of Kenya (TESPOK) Autism half marathon event.
