The chaos in removing the deputy president’s GSU officers and replacing them with the administration police to guard his homes led to different reactions from Kenyans. Alfred Mutua today told Citizen TV that there was a need to take care of the deputy president since he is second in command.

“This is the DP, this is the person who is second in command; if anything happened to the President, God forbid, and he would be the one to take over. So that person has to be protected as if that person is a president in waiting…” - Dr. Alfred Mutua, Machakos Governor

Kenyans on Twitter had different reactions to the statement by Alfred Mutua. Some of them were opposed to the hustler narrative as they found that the deputy president had vast property and many security guard officers and comes to pose as a hustler. Other Kenyans told Mutua to marry first because of the recent relationship gone sour between him and Lillian.

With all said, Kenyans are in a dilemma on the 2022 presidential bids. Is the hustler nation going to take the lead? Are the so-called

dynasties going to lead the country? Time will tell.
