President Kenyatta and First Lady Margaret Kenyatta Finally Get Covid-19 Vaccine

The president has on several occasions been asked by various leaders among them religious men to consider taking the vaccine and prove to the public that indeed it was safe.

President Uhuru Kenyatta and First Lady Margaret Kenyatta have received their Covid-19 vaccine at the State House. 

The president got the jab moments after issuing a press address where he announced more stringent measures to tame the Covid-19. 

On Friday morning, President Kenyatta called upon all Cabinet members to consider getting the vaccine, in efforts to boost public confidence over the vaccine's safety. 

Kenyatta had recently stated that he will only receive the vaccination when the time falls due. His deputy William Ruto on silent remained silent on why he was yet to get the jab, instead urging Kenyans to consider getting theirs. 

State House Chief of Staff Nzioka Waita on Friday morning led the other state officials in adhering to Kenyatta's vaccination call to his Cabinet.

Also vaccinated were Cabinet Secretaries Monica Juma, Margaret Kobia, and Betty Maina.
