The gang robbed her of her uniform, berretta, name tag, and ceremonial belt, according to Mombasa police.

In the 5 a.m. incident on Tuesday, the gang also made off with other personal items.

She told authorities that she was leaving her home in the Magongo area when she was approached by a machete-wielding group.

During the robbery, she suffered head and arm injuries.

The cop was brought to the hospital with injuries after the group fled.

The gang is suspected of planning to use the uniforms to perpetrate a big crime, therefore, police have increased protection and alertness.

Two police officers were also arrested in Musoma village, Matungu, Kakamega County, for a robbery with violence at a man's home.

The officers had gone to Peter Nanyama's house and demanded to know where his kid was, but when they couldn't find him, they demanded Sh150, 000 at gunpoint.

They are scheduled to appear in court on allegations of robbery with violence.

The number of police personnel participating in criminal activity is on the rise. Some have already been arrested and charged, while others are still being investigated.

Police officials claim that such problems may be resolved internally.
