Partners Responses on the Fuel Subsidy Elicits Reactions
In a thread that has been seen to go viral, a question posed by one of the active Twitter users has elicited a lot of responses, particularly from Kenyans who have 'partners.'
President Ruto had previously stated that subsidies had been costly and prone to abuse, including causing artificial shortages of the very products being subsidized, since the emergence of fuel increases in the country.
The topic of fuel subsidies has prompted many people to take the challenge and ask their partners for their thoughts on the rise in fuel prices and the elimination of gasoline subsidies.
"Babe, What are your thoughts on the increase in fuel prices and removal of subsidy for petrol?"

Here are screen grabs of some of the responses made by partners when asked about their thoughts about the issue in the country.
What is the meaning of fuel subsidy?
To alleviate the price burden, the government pays a portion of the price that consumers are supposed to pay to enjoy the use of petroleum products.
Most partners appear to be having difficulty grasping the significance of the removal of gasoline subsidies. Have you asked your partner what they think about the elimination of gasoline subsidies?
