Things may toughen up for couples in Uganda if the new bill seeking punishment for couples engaging in anal or penetrative sex is passed.According to the Anti-Homosexuality Bill 2023,Bugiri Munispality MP Asuman Basalirwa has stated that the act could lead suffering if action was not taken immediately.
Bugiri wants the couples who subject themselves in such acts to be punished under the proposed new law. He has added that he has been talking to health experts who warned that such penetrations could be in heath danger. Due to this, he was willing to propose a new law that could come in handy.
The MP says that the new law should be intense and that the propreators must compensate the victims of homosexuality. He says that the victims of such suffer mental traumas and physical pains.
