The earlier suspended demolition of the five-storey Kinoo Building is underway following the declaration of the National Construction Authority that the construction was not approved.
The Kinoo building had partially collapsed on Friday, September 4.
The experts who visited the site stated the collapse was a result of its weak foundation.
The building developed cracks before sinking in the early hours of Friday. No one was injured as masons who were at the site moved to safety on time.
Experts have linked the increased collapse of buildings in Kiambu County to the greed of developers escaping from the authority.
