Meru senator Mithika l Linturi has been freed by the Nakuru court over his madoadoa remark after the police failed to conclude on time.

Linturi was taken to court a few months ago after a remark that the senator made while in a rally in Eldoret with his UDA team.

In his remark, Linturi had warned the locals against electing those politicians who were vying using other parties and used the word ‘Madoa madoa to emphasize something that did not sit well with the authorities.

The word according to the investigating department was used during the last elections in 2007 which caused tribal divisions that led to the deaths of several people.

Mithika Lintuti was arrested and taken to court for inciting the members of the public in Eldoret, a region that is deemed to be metropolitan and a volatile area where several communities reside.

The UDA team had apologized for the sentiments made by Linturi and cautioned their members to be careful on the choice of words during political rallies

Meru Senator according to Nakuru court has no case to answer because the police did not conclude the investigations and this is a reprieve to the senator who is looking to expand his political agenda and his loyalty to UDA and the Deputy President.
