KRA Invites The Public To A Mass Auction Of Vehicles

The authority announced the sale of the motor vehicles and other superfluous, obsolete, and unserviceable assets in a notice issued on Tuesday, April 26.

The exercise will commence at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 5, and end at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 26 at Nairobi Supplies Branch Likoni Road, opposite the NTSA.

Among the vehicles in the auction are Toyota Prados, Land Cruiser, Corolla, Hiace van, Double Cabin, Condor station wagon, Hilux, and Peugeot 504 types.

The viewing will take place at various locations as specified during normal business hours to verify specifics, which are not warranted by Auctioneers because the sale is being conducted "as is, where is."

To receive a bidding number, interested bidders must pay a refundable deposit of Ksh50,000 per vehicle and Ksh10,000 for other commodities in the form of a banker's cheque made payable to Philips International Auctioneers.

Declared purchasers must deposit 25% of the purchase price into the KRA bank account provided during the auction by the close of business on the auction day, and the balance must be paid into the same account within 7 days of the auction date, or the money received, including the deposit, will be forfeited.

In Mombasa County, the auction will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10, at the Kenya School of Revenue Administration (KESRA).

Three days later, the auction in Nakuru County will begin at the Nakuru public works grounds and will last all day.

In Kisumu County the auction will occur on Tuesday, May 17 at KRA Forodha House, and on Thursday, May 19, the Authority will host a public auction at KRA Kiptagich House, Eldoret.

On Tuesday, May 24, interested bidders from Nyeri town will have the opportunity to inspect the automobiles. The final day's viewing will take place at the Kenya Cereals and Produce Board in Embu.
