Kenya Records 13 Covid Cases, Setting The Positivity Rate At 0.3 Percent

In the previous 24 hours, Kenya has recorded 13 new cases of Covid-19 from a total of 4,451 people tested.

No fatalities were reported, therefore, the death toll remained at 5,648.

The current positive rate is 0.3 per cent.

Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe stated that seven of the new cases are Kenyans and six are foreigners.

The youngest patient is eight years old, and the oldest is 79 years old.

The overall number of confirmed positive cases out of 3,520,326 cumulative tests is now 323,436.

According to the statement, 17 patients who were part of the Home-Based Care and Isolation Program recovered.

Total recoveries now stand at 317,658 people, with 264,643 in home-based care and isolation and 53,015 in health institutions across the country.

According to the ministry, 12 patients are now being treated in various health institutions across the country, while 118 are being treated at home under the Home-Based Isolation and Care program.

There have been no admissions to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or the High Dependency Unit (HDU) (HDU).

In the general wards, two patients are on supplementary oxygen.
