A student unexpectedly became ill in Kitui on Thursday, forcing him to take his KCSE exam at a hospital.

The KCSE exams began on December 2, 2022, and they will be completed on December 23, 2022.

According to the police, the candidate was taken to the hospital right away after one of his genital parts disappeared inside of him.

On Thursday at 3:18 pm, the KCSE hardship/illness of a student was reported to the police station.

“Please be informed that today 15/12/2022, there was a candidate who got sick, one of his genital organs disappeared inside the body resulting to pain,” a police report read.

He was sent to the hospital right away, where he took the biology paper 2 exam while being watched by a security guard and an examiner.

“He was rushed to hospital where he sat his biology paper 2 exam under the watch of a security officer and an invigilator.” the report continues.

According to the police, the candidate was later transferred to a different hospital to undergo surgery.
