KABIANGA UNIVERSITY CLOSED
The University of Kabianga has been closed indefinitely following student unrest.

Students had a riot due to the increase of fees in the institution. The students were protesting over the sh10,000 fee increment. Therefore, the university decided to take measures to avoid any further damages. The students claimed that the university had not upgraded anything to compromise for the fee increment yet their parents were working hard to cater for the fees.
The students' grievances also included congestion at the school library and lack of students ID's yet they had already paid the fees for them.
The university chancellor declared that they should vacate the premises immediately until they set new dates for the students to return once the problems have already been solved.
