Eight hundred ninety-three (893) candidates managed to score grade A and got straight entry to the university, the top candidate being Robinson Simiyu Wanjala from Murang'a High School.

Out of the top fifteen students, The Kenya High School Students scooped six slots and leaving the rest to be shared by many other schools.  The Kenya High School and Alliance High School once again topped the national charts posting excellent results regarding school performance. However, several typical national schools did not even squeeze one candidate into the top ten candidates.
