Omoding expressed his gratitude to everyone who handled security during the recently completed KCPE and KPSEA, during which he claimed that no unpleasant incidents were reported in the County.

He then expressed his hope that the same would hold true for the KCSE, which begins on Friday, December 2 and will end on Friday, December 23 2022.

According to Omoding, police officers will be responsible for maintaining security at all testing locations throughout the exam time and will be given instructions on how to protect the validity of the national exam.

He added that the KNEC has helicopters on standby to cater for areas that could be rendered impassable by rains. He said the officers will be expected to ensure that the exam scripts, invigilators, and all the candidates are secure right from the seven examination distribution centers across the county.

The County Commissioner stated that in order to ensure there are no irregularities regarding the legitimacy of the exam papers, the containers from which the exams are distributed would be opened at 6am with all the authorities and school management present.

According to the administrator, chiefs and their assistants should constantly be in the forefront of the implementation of government policy and always wear uniforms so that they can be quickly recognized by school administrators, supervisors, and security personnel who are monitoring test progress.
