"I haven't given up on Kalonzo." Ruto Says

For the second day in a straight, the DP returned to Kitui County, claiming that he had not given up on working with Kalonzo.

Ruto called Kalonzo to join his team, stating that together they can create the next administration while speaking to supporters in Mwingi town.

The DP accused Raila Odinga, the leader of the ODM, of duping Kalonzo in the last two elections by promising to back him for president.

"Sasa huyu mzee wa kitendawili amezungusha Kalonzo mpaka juzi akasign makaratasi ambayo hajui (Raila has been going around in circles with Kalonzo for a long time, even lately signing documents whose contents Kalonzo afterward claimed he had no knowledge of)," Ruto remarked.

Tharaka Nithi senator Kithure Kindiki asserted that as a Kitui county neighbor, he was responsible for finding and delivering Kalonzo to the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.

Kindiki stated that he will do everything in his power to persuade Kalonzo to forsake Raila and his Azimio. la Umoja movement.

"Are you going to send me to Kalonzo? Shall I try to persuade him to join us?" Kindiki remarked.

Ruto stated that his government would focus on providing jobs and opportunities for the youth, empowering farmers and small-scale traders through his bottom-up economic strategy, just as he did on Tuesday when he toured Kitui town.

Johnstone Muthama, the chairman of the United Democratic Alliance, was also there, as were other officials.
