Hunt For Ten Men Accused Of Assaulting A 12-Year-Old Girl In West Pokot
Ten men are wanted by West Pokot County police for allegedly abusing a 12-year-old girl in Sigor.

The ten-year-old girl was beaten up after refusing to be married to an elderly man.
The girl's father and other men allegedly beat her up to make her submit to the marriage after she offered the suitor ten cows as dowry last week, according to officers at the Marich Police Station.
"A gang of men came to her on Wednesday and beat her up so she would accept the marriage," a police source told the Standard.
According to the authorities, the kid was then escorted to the man's residence, where a party was conducted.
After waiting until the males were sufficiently inebriated, the minor fled to the police station.
"After successfully marrying off the girl, the gang decided to have a good time. According to the youngster, she waited for the men to become inebriated before fleeing," the cops stated.
"We raced to the suitor's house right away, only to discover that they had already fled. We're on the lookout for the perpetrators."
According to Sigor OCPD Bamfort Surwa, the kid was also slated to undergo Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).
The father is one of the suspects named in the case, and he is being sought.
