Motorists warned against floods over heavy rains

The Kenya National Highway Authority has warned drivers and motorists over the prolonged rains across the country which has caused floods in different parts. The authority has particularly warned against the Nairobi-Mai Mahiu -Narok Highway. The highway is flooded and the drivers were advised to take caution while using the route.
"Motorists plying or planning to use Nairobi- Mai Mahiu- Narok Highway are informed of an ongoing clearance of the overbudden after last night`s heavy downpour which esulted in flooding and extensive deposition of eroded material on the road," the statement read.
The alternative route was Narok- Kisisiri- Nakuru road and Mai Mahiu- Nakuru Road.
