Friends of Fred Matiangi are planning for his prayer rally which will take place in Gusii Stadium on 25th of this month. This comes days after his meeting with the DCI.
Sources at the DCI say that Matiangi is being investigated over mega tenders at the ministries he headed during his ten-year tenure in the 4th administration. The case lied heavy on him when he flew out of the country .
Earlier this week, there was drama at the DCI headquaters on Kiambu road when Matiangi and his lawyers were stopped from accessing the DCI offices. The officers said that they wanted to know who would accompany him. He was later allowed in with more that 10 lawyers.
Other charges that Matiangi is accused of is publication of false information contrary section 3 of the Computer Misuse and Cyber Bully Crimes Act of 2018.
The opposition leader, Raila Odinga also appeared inthe DCI offices to show support to Matiangi. Former president Uhuru Kenyatta also made a call threatening to appear in the DCI offices if they did not release Matiangi
