Family held hostage by gang for nine hours
On 5th October a family had been held hostage by a gang of 6 in their family home in Nakuru

According to a statement by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the gang stormed the house minutes before 9 pm and left at around 6 am.
They beat the husband inflicting on him many injuries they tied up the wife, daughter, and three grandchildren alongside their house help. Among items, the gang stole was included four tv sets, four mobile phones, three gas cylinders, a laptop, a fridge, a mortar, a bicycle, and clothes. They also transferred Ksh141,800 from the daughter's accounts.
the family reported the matter to Bahati Police Station and a manhunt was immediately launched to find the suspects.
