According to the investigation by the DCI officers sourced by Bright, Kenya news indicated that the video was edited and he was not a police officer who was on the highway. The information also urges the citizens to be keen on what they share on the social media platforms as they can land them in court for fake information. “We encourage the Kenyans to be keen during this time where many people rely on social media platforms to get information,” said the DCI.

However, in the viral video trending online, the officer was on the phone before the sad incident happened. The officer must be communicating with another traffic officer about the traffic issue or anybody as he controls the traffic.

Three men on Bodaboda prompted the officer from behind then passed in front of him then snatched the phone from his ears and flew away on the speeding motorbike leaving the officer in shock and confused.

The incident is believed to had happened between Githurai- Kasarani underpass road.
