Dad Seeks  Assistance In Rescuing His Ailing Daughter From Saudi Arabia

Kibibi Ali departed the country last year after landing a position as a domestic servant in a Western Asian country.

On Tuesday, her father, Ali Bakari, said his daughter had phoned him pleading for help to return home since she was sick and couldn't get treatment.

"She called to say she had become ill and required immediate medical assistance. That is why I am seeking assistance from the government, " Bakari stated.

He stated that his daughter has informed him that she does not have airline tickets.

"I'm pleading with the authorities to assist me in reuniting with my kid. She has a gynecological condition as a result of an operation she had in a Saudi Arabian hospital. The situation requires immediate medical attention," Bakari told The Standard from his Mombasa home.

He claimed Kibibi was hired because of a labour shortage in Mombasa.

"She was transferred to another residence after working for her employer for a while. She later grew ill and had to be operated on," Bakari explained.

He said, "Her first employer took good care of her, but when she was transferred to the second residence, she continued to work as a maid. The second employer instructed her to pay her rent and cover her medical expenses. It became a challenge for her."

According to Bakari, Kibibi informed her that a growth had been spotted in her womb.

"The physicians advised that her womb be removed," Bakari alleged, adding, "My daughter was later dumped at the Saudi Arabian recruiting agent's office. It's been a nightmare at home for her and her entire family. We are requesting assistance from the government."
