This is after Jalang`o had announced earlier that he will send his resignation on 9th February to concentrate on his political bid but when he succeed to the parliament he will open up a radio station.
“On February 2022, I will quit my radio job. I will miss my microphone, but when I go to Parliament, I will open Bunge FM,” he pledged.
He is willing to unseat the current Lang`ata Mp Nixon Korir under the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) ticket.
On the other hand, Dr. Ofweneke stated that it was an honor when radio Africa approached him to replace Jalang`o at Kiss FM while he will be away.
"The greatest presenters have sat in that studio. From Caroline Mutoko, Nyambane (Walter Mong'are), Jalang'o himself to Larry Asego. Having the privilege of working at the station is worth thanking God for. Do you know how many comedians would have wished to have such an opportunity?" he posed.
However, Dr. Ofweneke`s new move to Kiss FM comes barely a day after a media personality Njogu Wa Njoroge was Fired on Monday 24th barely a week after he joined Deputy President William Ruto`s United Democratic Alliance Party { UDA} on Friday 21st January to vie for the Njoro parliamentary seat.
Njogu Wa Njoroge who was Kameme FM radio presenter revealed to a source privy to this publication that he was sacked from his official duties via a phone call from the station's management.
"I received a phone call from the Programs Controller, who asked me not to report to work, permanently," Njoroge revealed.
He however linked his dismissal from work with his political move where he joined UDA even though he had planned to render his resignation ahead of the February 9 deadline.
"Kazi ni kazi (Work is Work) Njogu Wa Njoroge. You are a great and highly talented son of Rurii. Wishing you the best in your political endeavors. Karibu sana (Welcome) bro," Kiharu MP, Ndindi Nyoro, wrote.
"It is because of my affiliations, nothing else. I would have resigned to go and concentrate on politics," he stated.
