Catholic Priest Commits Suicide in a lodging in Makueni

 Fr Stephen Kyalo Nzyoki, a catholic Priest in Makueni County shocked the church Congregation after he allegedly took his own life over unconfirmed issues.

Confirming the incident Makueni County Police Commander Joseph Ole Napeiyan stated that Fr Stephen Kyalo`s body was found lying lifeless on Sunday  23rd in a lodging in Kilala township.

A bottle of a drug that he is accused of ingesting was found next to his body.

“He bought one bottle of wine and proceeded to his room. Around 1900 hrs, attendants at the hotel became suspicious since the client never came out of the room and that’s when they knocked at the door but didn’t receive any response,” Mr. Napeiyan said in a statement.

Following an alarm raised by the lodging attendants, the police discovered the clergyman's remains on the bed.

“The body had no physical injuries. The police officers recovered one bottle of the red label, one bottle of a substance, two empty glasses, room keys, one smartphone, and a face mask at the scene,” Mr. Napeiyan added.

Kyalo served at Kako Catholic Church before he met his untimely death.

However, his body was further moved to Makueni County Referral Hospital mortuary awaiting autopsy results.
