9 prisoners escape in Bomet
At the Bomet Police Station, nine prisoners have escaped the prison by cutting the metal grills at the back of the cells.

Musa Omar Imamai head of Bomet Central sub-county police confirmed that the nine prisoners 5 adults and 4 juveniles escaped by squeezing themselves out using the small opening they had created. Mr. Imamai said one of the escapees has since been re-arrested and is helping police with information likely to lead to the arrest of others.
He added that the prison is under investigation to figure out how these criminals were able to cut the grills without officers on duty noticing.
