14 hand sanitizer brands recalled
Kenya Bureau of Standards has suspended 14 brands of hand sanitizers for failing to meet quality requirements following a recently conducted surveillance.
On Wednesday 47 sanitizer brands were collected and assessed against the Standards Act in the surveillance. 33 of them, representing 70% of the brands, met the requirements while the 14 failed.
The 14 non-compliant hand sanitizer brands and their manufacturers are:
- Shoka (Trident M. Limited)
- BlueKing (Blue Bubble Homecare)
- Jet (Kamili Packers Ltd)
- Kayda Care (Kayda Company Ltd)
- Apocan (Apocan Enterprises)
- My choice (Hanse Impex Ltd)
- Safe Touch (Brussels Laboratories)
- Afya (Diamond Industries Ltd)
- Labcare (Laboratory and allied Ltd)
- Aroma (Lusaki Ltd)
- Clear Hands (Syner-Chemie Ltd)
- Comely (Comely E.A Ltd)
- Germshild (Interconsumer Products Ltd)
- Sari (Nia Cosmetics Ltd)
